Since 2007, there has been the provision for teaching music in degree pass course of studies. The teachers who joined the department discharged their duties to the students to their utmost efforts. Valuable books for music where purchased for the collage library. There are many musical instrument in this department. There were eminent teachers in the department of music. From the very beginning Prof. Saptarshi Roy had nourished the department with keen love and care. Prof. Debjani Nag is now serving the department. She has tried her best to develop the passion for music within the students. The Department has been able to maintain its uniqueness, by contributing in academinc and cultural background of the college.
